The family support service is presently available for families with children under the age of 5 years of age living in the SureStart areas of Hodge Lea, Stacey Bushes, Fullers Slade, Galley Hill, Greenleys and Wolverton. This service offers practical help, advice and guidance to families. Their full-time Entry to Employment (E2E) "Foundation for Parents" course is aimed at pregnant teenagers (15 - 19 years) and includes basic skills training in Literacy, Numeracy, ICT and Life/Social skills. Work related activities, sport and art sessions are also available, plus access to a midwife and various other support agencies. They employ 3 Connexions Personal Advisers who can be accessed by young people for individual support. They also run a drop in session for young parents (including fathers aged 16 - 24 years) on a Wednesday afternoon. They are constantly developing this service and hope to include some training on a Tuesday for which a creche will be available.
